Job description: • Work with various fabrics and textiles to re-upholster furnishings, design slip covers and fill requests for custom builds. • Assist in the management of our vast fabric inventory and manage orders from fabric vendors. This position reports directly to the operations manager. Degree or equivalent experience required. Must be willing to work on weekends and holidays.Furniture Designer
Job description: • Work with various materials and fabrics to custom build furniture to required specifications. • Design and build furnishings for clients in our residential, commercial and hospitality divisions. • Manage design databases and coordinate production runs. This position reports directly to the operations manager. Degree or equivalent experience required. Must be willing to work on weekends and holidays.
Designer Internship
If you are currently attending school for interior design, you could qualify for our internship program. Marlowe Designs is looking to fill several internships for interior designers in both our Houston, TX and Jackson, MS offices. Our internship program can be a great way to jump start your career with hands on training in a real world environment. Internship responsibilities include: • Ride along assignments with designers to observe and assist with design projects. • Participate in client acquisition activities such as marketing campaigns and trade-shows • Perform various customer service tasks such as courtesy calls, follow- ups and service requests. Candidates must show proof of enrollment from an accredited educational institution and provide us your school schedule. Recommendations from you dean or instructor a plus.
